Nero Tapware Redefines Premium Display Design at the Auckland Home Show 2025

10th Oct 2025

A premium exhibition stand built for interaction, engagement and brand connection, designed to perform across two major events in one week

Client: Nero Tapware
Events: Mico Activation & Auckland Home Show 2025
Venue: Due Drop Events Centre & Auckland Showgrounds
Scope: Full project delivery

Two Shows. One Week. Zero Compromise.

In one of the most demanding build schedules of the year, Expocrafters delivered Nero Tapware’s new custom exhibition stand across two major events within just five days. The first — a full Mico activation — was completed in a single day, a remarkable turnaround for a high-spec custom installation. Within days, the same structure was adapted and reinstalled for the Auckland Home Show 2025, with every detail rechecked, refined and ready for public display.

This back-to-back delivery showcased Expocrafters’ precision, planning and ability to execute at the highest level under pressure. Every stage — from design and fabrication through to lighting, print, logistics and compliance — was managed in-house, allowing total control over quality and timing.

Collaboration that Builds Understanding

From the outset, this project was built on collaboration. Working closely with the Nero Tapware team, we invested time in understanding both their brand values and customer experience goals — how their products should look, feel and function when handled by potential buyers. This insight shaped everything from product placement and working tapware integration to lighting and spatial layout.

We didn’t just build a stand — we became an extension of Nero’s team, learning the technical requirements of their fittings and finishes to ensure every product was displayed safely, beautifully and in perfect working order. That level of involvement transformed the project from a fabrication job into a genuine partnership grounded in shared pride and attention to detail.

Built Like a Showroom, Designed for Engagement

The Nero stand was created to replicate the warmth and sophistication of an in-store showroom, inviting visitors to experience the brand through touch, movement and conversation. Live water displays, illuminated fittings and tactile materials gave customers the chance to interact with products as they would in a real home environment — turning casual interest into meaningful engagement.

The open, welcoming layout allowed for natural traffic flow and authentic connection between Nero’s team and their audience. Every feature — from the lighting to the joinery — was intentionally crafted to drive curiosity, showcase quality and strengthen the brand’s premium presence.

Custom Craftsmanship and Technical Precision

Behind the design was technical expertise. The stand combined bespoke joinery, wood detailing, acrylic components, textured wall surfaces and spray-finished panels — built to perform visually and structurally under exhibition conditions.

  • Custom Joinery: Designed to complement Nero’s tapware collections and create seamless visual integration.
  • Textured Wall Surfaces: Hand-finished panels inspired by real-world bathroom and kitchen environments.
  • Live Water Displays: Fully functional plumbing systems enabling real-time demonstrations and customer interaction.
  • Lighting Design: Layered illumination to enhance texture, product shine and brand warmth.
  • Material Selection: A balanced mix of timber, acrylic and print elements for depth, durability and detail.

Precision Under Pressure

Delivering two complex builds in one week required not only craftsmanship but also strategic planning and technical problem-solving. Our team coordinated every aspect of production, logistics and installation to maintain the highest standard under tight timeframes. Every component was labelled, tested and packed for efficiency, allowing rapid assembly and flawless presentation at both events.

More than a stand builder, Expocrafters acted as a trusted external partner — managing risk, anticipating challenges and delivering solutions that kept the project on track without compromise. This role extended beyond fabrication, providing technical advice and installation insight that added value to every product displayed.

Sustainability and Carbon Offsetting

The Nero stand was designed for longevity and repeat installation, ensuring it can be reconfigured for future events with minimal waste. Expocrafters also offset the build’s carbon footprint through Trees That Count, contributing to native reforestation and supporting New Zealand’s carbon-neutral exhibition practices.

Trusted Partnership. Proven Delivery.

From the first concept sketch to the final product installation, Expocrafters managed every detail — creative design, fabrication, lighting, logistics and compliance. The result was a premium, interactive brand activation that elevated Nero’s presence, deepened customer engagement and proved what’s possible when craftsmanship and collaboration work hand in hand.
